Deer in Richmond Park – using liquid watercolour inks
February 17, 2016
I love the vibrancy achieved by working with liquid watercolour inks. With this study of deer in Richmond Park, London, I worked from photographs taken during a walk with the family on a beautifully sunny and bright day. I then began by drawing the image in pencil first and then washing it over with the inks to create the effect of colours washing into each other. The colours are intense; the final effect is serendipitous.
